As a meat slinging neanderthal, I don't know too much about fly gear. Though I do own and occasionally use my 5-wt split bamboo rod in the sweet-water.
I stopped by M&D's Bait and Tackle tonight to secure some eels for tomorrow and Mike still has quite a bit of fly gear left as he clearing it out for pretty cheap in my humble opinion.
I made sure to write down a couple model #'s for you fellow Reel-Timer's who may be interested, in exchange for ya-all putting up with us non-evolved, chunking types here on the posting forum. :-)
