10/8 Waquoit -- slam dance

Got soaked at the Jetty yesterday, but in between that grousing, picked
up small schoolies -- along the beach and off the rocks on both sides
(once the weed cleared on the east edge).

around 10 or 10:30, the funny fish showed (or at least came in range --
there was a lot of fish & bird activity off the point of the west jetty...
a kayak, raft, canoe or ANYTHING to float across would have been
used in an instant) -- my first best shot had me with a 20" striper
on and the albie/bones -- they were mixed -- busting at my feet....

did lose one, and then caught a 5lb bonito -- had a fair number of
chances at them but only those two hits....the weird thing about the one
I caught was, I had cast into a pod which erupted right in front of me,
hooked up immediately, and then the fish milled around for a bit before
taking off. Similar to a big striper, but when it was time to go, he left
a little bit faster....

:)

maybe again on Monday...
