Well the fishing finally took off out west. This afternoon at around 3:00 I was returning from the Surfcaster checking out the beaches on the way home because at this time of year you never know when the fish will pop up. Stopped at Burying Hill beach and saw some birds working really close in over at Bedfords Point so I got out the binoculars and saw fish busting out everywhere. I ran out there as fast as I could and saw the fish going crazy in the second little cove out to the point. Blues and bass had trapped a big school of baby bunker against the eel grass and went all out on them. There was so much bait I had to use a bucktail to get down far enough where there was less competition and started to hook up one after the other. It was mostly blues but there were alot of bass too. I even started to snag bunker with a bucktail and livelined them if you could call it that since they are so small to get fish.

At about 5:00 they moved out around the Point and continued their feast. By then the bunker thinned out a little and a small redfin was catching fish. This lasted for 3 1/2 hrs. and I was'nt even there when it began! In total I caught about 30 fish with the biggest bass being 29 in. and the biggest blue around 10 lbs. This was with out a doubt the best day this year but there is always tomrrow.
