Arrived at the canal sat am in the pouring rain after a good ride ( time wise)
from my home in western ma.There were quite a few peaple when we got there as to
the amount of yellow & orange along the banks. We started at the bourne bridge
and fished plugs, tins without a hit. There was no surface activity or birds.I did see few fish taken back to the parking lot, some i question were legal. We then hit below the Sagamore until noon,by then we were soaked off to the deli
fo some hot soup & sandwiches.Next stop was the east end, finaly fish.Using a cripple herring or kastmaster connected with fish all 18"-24"no bigger.A few blues mixed in but no monsters.A better lure was a white bucktail jig 1-3oz and grubtail. All the fish were down deep so weight had to adjust to current.Lighter line would work better (i was using to heavy).A fellow next to me using a lite spinning outfit was nailing them on every cast plus a 6-7lb blue. The bite stopped the rain started back up again,we headed for home. This time it was a crawl home the rain was blinding making for long drive.

Lots of good fishing
left.But I'll just have
to read it here.
