Bill, I think the key words in your report were "small gulls". I have learned not to trust those smaller gulls. They seem to dive and dip for some sort of plankton which doesn't appeal to bass. Now, when herring or blackbacked gulls are wheeling and diving, something is going on! Unless a lobster boat just went by, of course.
