Practicing my fly casting 'til it hurts. Determined to catch a fish at the conclave on the fly. Got this single haul thing going and can soar that thing all of about 35' with no wind. UGH! I'm getting better, but it's a little frustrating. I keep getting a loop around the butt. Why? Hands getting too close together? Also this is a fairly soft, I mean forgiving, 8wt., (LL Bean Quest) with a floating line I think I need an intermediate. Anyone recommend a line whi1ch won't give me a hard time? Should I try something else like one of those shooting thingamajigs???
