Yesterday saw half as many fish and twice as many boats. I blame the internet for all the boats at Wianno yesterday :-). Actually it was rather disturbing to see them all at a place which I normally have almost to myself. The guy in the orange formula (from Green pond) even found his way there yesterday. After Thorne and Dave headed for Suconnesset, I headed to the fuel dock and spotted a school of bass on the surface inside West Bay. Nice fish, all 25" - 28". After getting fuel I headed back outside and thought about running to Suconnesset, but the wind was starting up and headed east instead. Ran into several pods of albies off Craigville Beach and there wasn't another boat in sight! Caught three albies (one I hooked on the 6-weight and had to chase) and was back at the dock by 11 a.m.
Can't make the conclave (ASMFC meeting in Stamford, CT), so it was nice to see Thorne actually catch a fish!
