I'm not a big fan of high slack or the two hours on either side of it.
It seems to be hit-or-miss and there are no sure spots, which is why I do a
lot of moving around at high. Not that it's helped me a lot lately, unless you
like wasting eels and cutoffs on 6 lb bluefish!

As bob. g notes. mid-to-late fall and very early spring are about the only times
when tide stage doesn't make a whole lot of difference in the Canal. A water temp.
cool-down should make things more consistent.
