9/13 slow on outer Cape

Got a couple of quick shots this weekend that didn't pan out. Fished a little inside Nauset Harbor on Saturday aft, producing one Dorf moment:

Seagull starts following the wake of my fly, fly meets resistance as if getting hit. I can't tell if the gull has its feet in the water or if it's keying on a fish that's hitting my fly. Pause, strip, pause, strip. Tap tap tap. Finally the gull pulls off and there's one more tap. So it was a fish after all, but I'm telling myself that it can't have been too big if a gull was after it.

Sunday I kayaked around Monomoy in the morning without seeing a fish or seeing anyone else hook up.
