Hit Great River about 4:30am. Fish "poping" the surface everywhere by the town landing on the early outgoing. Didn't fish it though - wanted to make Washburn near first light.
Stoped at the sand bar near the opening to the bay - fish everywhere. Landed two 17" schoolies and continued on.
Stoped (drifted) allong the inside by Washburn casting at the shoreline. Again - lots of feeding schoolies - landed one, lost about 6. One almost landed IN the kayak as I was dangling my fly along side! Wild stuff!
Headed out the inlet and around to the beach side of Washburn - for those of you there I was the guy fishing the jetty. Landed about a dozen schoolies durring the hour I was there to about 20", lost two flies and only god knows how many fish... Headed back around 7am.
Boy this place is a long walk and now a long paddle. But the fishing is great. Once again, no footballs today. Larry?
