Hello everyone,
My name is Walter Young. I live in Watertown. after reading through this forum for some time I decided over the winter that it would be a good Idea to be more of an aware fisherman and decided to add the C.C.A. to my list of support.
when I first got this computer last october I went straight to the fishing sites and found this excellent site, and it's much appreciated by me.
I've been fishing pretty much all my life. My parents got a summer house in hull when I was about 6 and I've been fishing ever since. My brothers and I used to fish for stripers off of nantasket beach in the 70's when you could actually catch some fish there,( along with the occasional dogfish).
We used to fish for Mackerel at the A street pier with worms and sliding balsa wood bobbers that we would get for .25c from an old guy named Ely who would carve them and come around every sunday to sell them. We also caught plenty of smelts with a bamboo poll.
I fly fish most of the time now, and try to get out as much as possible. Still haven't gotten the keeper on a fly as of yet but I've gotten hundreds of schoolies on it and that's what the fun of fishing is to me.
Both of my older brothers are die hard fishermen, even with families, but my oldest brother only likes to catch largemouths. He doesn't know what he's missing!
Anyway, Thanks for having such a good forum to bounce Ideas and tecniques around. It is once again, much appreciated. Just wish we had a longer season.
