The Honda is old technology from the 1980’s, the Evinrude/Suzuki was introduced to the market last year. I had an opportunity to fish on a boat equiped with a Johnson/Suzuki ( same engine ) and was complety happy with its performance, fuel consumpsion and noise level. When you purchase a new engine, be aware that Johnson and Evinrude offer a 1 year warranty where Suzuki offers 3 years and if you order before March 31 they will extend it an additional 3 years.
