I purchased a Johnson FICHT 150 one year ago. I use the boat in the Keys. I have mixed reviews with this engine. I love the great fuel and oil usage. (Very low). However, I have had my share of problems with the engine. The computer brain went out after 150 hours. Had a nice 4 hour tow ride after that. It has discharged 2 batteries while under way. Has not repeted so not sure what wrong there. Go through a set of plugs about every 50 hours. Although, they are supposed to be getting a new plug to try. My biggest complaint is that the repair folks out in the field don't seem to know a lot about the motor. All trouble shooting has to be done by a laptop computer which has worked only about half the time. Any one else had similar experences?
