Franklin - I don't have one, and the closest I have is holding one in a store - so I may not be the best to answer this, but.... They seem to have a good rep (at least in FW), and the quality seems high (as well as the price). One potential problem several people I know have questioned is the exposed three roller system they have. Seems to me dirt, sand, etc getting on the spool housing surface could really stop the reel from functioning as well as cause some damage. The way I treat my equipment, this kind of thing could make or break a good days fishing. I think for the money there are better saltwater reels.
