Big dilema... I want to bring a 3 piece travel rod with me on my trip next month. I would like to spend about $200-250,more if I have to, but I am not sure if I want to build or buy. I would love to build one of the higher end blanks (RPLXi or similar) as I am use to fishing RPLX's.
I want a 3 piece, but a 4 piece will do. I am also aprehensive about building a 4 piece, and would probably buy one instead (maybe).
Some rods I have thought about: Scott SAS, St. Croix Legend, both 3 pc and the Sage DS and T & T Emerger. These prices range from $260-325.
I am also considering the same blanks, along with others - with - aluminum reel seat, SIC guides, single foot snake guides, full wells w/1" fighting butt.
Any suggestions and input are appreciated.
