Tim, the rod warranty is a big issue. If it breaks, I have to rebuild. (I can build the St. Croix for around $200 with quality components.) I am also going to check out the Lamiglass website (Thanks!).

Dave, I have built a few rods, and think I can squeeze it in between work, tying and everything else. I have a cane rod I am in the process of restoring, but that can wait.
