Tom, Have used the non-slip loop for some time now. I use it on my 100-150# shock leaders when i tie on my flys for flyfishing for billfish. Also for when i fish for tarpon,tuna,dorado and a lot of other stuff. Never had a problem with it. The only other knot i use for this is the double figure eight knot. Good luck-Good fishing......Sam
