Oh, it is a proud day indeed...I hold in my hands my first ever and spanking new Orvis Silver Label Tl 8'6" Tip-Flex magic wand, complete with a sporty Battenkill disc drag, strung up and ready to go...Just had to do something with that stray expense check from those Fidelity spots that my Boston agency so kindly forwarded me. Now, it's only a 5wt. (not to steal your thunder Rick.D ) But I had to come to grips with the fact that I'm in the South, like it or not, and I can frequent North Ga. streams more often than the salt. If I get as hooked as I predict ( can't stop brandishing it around the house and office) I'll make the move and get a salt outfit. Couple that with the tying vise I got for Christmas, and I'm ready to sink countless hours and dollars into the new and unknown world of the fly.
