Over the years I've driven a Scout II, Subura Wagon and Pathfinder, While I had the scout I went thru the whole big tire routine, but had to switch to regular size during the winter. Listen to your vehicle, is it working hard? Lower the presure, If possible, carry spare air. Some of the outer cape beaches I had to run at 8 psi but was careless once on a steeply slope beach and roled a tire of its rim. (tide rising and me trying to rapidly change a tire). As was said earlier you spend most of your time on the road, pathfinder very comfortable there and when it was new 12 years ago it was much more comfortable than a pickup truck on the beach. Now its about to the same. Even through I no longer need the seatting I'm within casting distance of getting another pathfinder. I'm used to the musty smell after a wet hunting season.
