David Eaton: PVC Variation (smortga1@maine.rr.com)

I took a 10' Section of PVC pipe and cut a slot down the length, wide enough for the rods and guides. (Put you table saw blade in backwards so it doesn't melt the pvc!) Widen the first 6" (at each end for 2 rods) to allow for the reel seat, and drill holes on one side of the slot for knotted shock cord. On the opposite side, place the same whole on the edge of the slot so it allows the knotted shock cord to slip in place, after you wrap it around the pipe. One at either end, 18" in. I attach this horizontally to my railing posts(down low), and now my rods are Whaler proof!
