Those pink noses must mean something, cause they work real well. But when you're not straining to find fish you can experiment. Tan maribou Charlies have been great on white sand; dark fuzzy contrasty bodies with or without tails/claws/legs/eyes; little chartreuse critters or nearly transparent things with larva lace over a few strands of krystal flash; quarter-size light colored crabs live in the light sandy places I've seen that have a lot of life on them. Depth, temperature, light, wind, subsurface colors... retrieve is key. Dick Brown's bonefish books are invaluable technical rsources and great reading.
