Started Sat. morning at the Watch Hill Light with eels before sunrise and had only 2 hits. Between first light and sunrise bass and blues raided the bunker and I pulled 2 blues and 4 bass, one being 28.5 in. all on 7" swimmers. I then went up the line to East beach where every fisherman on the eastcoast was spending the day due to bass and blues pushing the bunker right up on the shore. I went east down the beach where it was'nt as crowded and picked up 3 more small blues.
Drove around somemore but did'nt find much at Misquamicut or Charlestown so I headed back to East Beach and found a place as far west as you can drive on the beach and enjoyed 12 schoolie bass in about an hour. The fish were feeding for about a half mile down the shore no more then 20 ft. out.
At around 5 I headed back to Misquamicut in search of bigger fish and suceded with 12 blues up to 10 lbs. and 2 more small bass.
The next morning I followed a school of bunker with bass and then blues at Watch Hill all the way to Weakapaug. Thank God for 4WD. You could only manage 1 or 2 fish before you had to move again. Ended up with 4 blues up to 15 lbs. and 2 bass. The fish then stuck around the Breachway area for the rest of the day but by then the whole east coast moved from east beach down there so I decided to pack it in until next weekend.
