Tim, Have you had any problem with the line taking a "set" where it goes over the nails? The line has to be 'absolutley' dry or there may be rust spots on the line.
We used the old fashioned line dryer made from several wooden dowels formed into an eight inch diameter 'drum' about a foot wide. Mounted on a flat of wood and with a simple handle on one end we could put all the lines from all our reels onto the drum for the 'winter rest'. (we had an even dozen rods rigged with various lines on Penn 113h and 4/0's.)
