I fished the canal this A.M. Started at about 5:15 on the Cape side at slack water. No fish for the first hour (using Popping plugs and Shad on a 1 oz. Jig head). This was during slack water low. When the tide turned east school stripers and blues started feeding in the rips. The stripers were from 20 to 26 inches and really fat. Caught six stripers and one blue in the next hour and a half. Best day I have had in the big ditch since last October. Will try again either tommorow or over the weekend.

When I left they were still acively feeding. I had to go. I had told my wife I would be back early. Tight Lines

Pat
