Fished the east end cape side Friday 8 to 10 pm and Saturday morning 3 to 7 am. Caught about 30 bass in mid 20 " range and 6 blues 5 to 8 lb. range. Very little surface action. Used 6" bass assissins black and albino. Albino seems to work a little better. Fished them slow and deep on 1 1/8 oz jig heads. The pickup is very light and you can just about feel it but when you set the hook they are there. Low stretch lines help in feeling them harder to feel them on mono. Blues chew up tails put 7/0 stinger on jig hook to catch them. If they are going to eat my jig at least I get to play them. Released them all. Fished Saturday at the changes nothing had to leave before dark. Talked to a guy who had done well on the west end on 9" slugos also getting some blues.
