seemed to be marked improvement in the canal since i last fished on thursday. probably can attribute this to improved tides. did ok on eels until daylight, then slammed them on 2 oz white barracuda with yellow pork rind. all small to med. some around 28-29". they broke for about 1/2 hour. saw a 2 lb macheral hanging around the rip for about an hpour. the instant he ventured into the canal a horse nailed him about 15 yds out. i was chunking at the time so that's what i threw at him, or most likely her, but i knew that would't work. also, got some nice fish on chunks.
