I thought I would take it easy and rest my arms after yesterdays conclave / kayak parade.... But the Wife wanted something to do so we grabbed the kayak and put in at first herring brook early afternoon.
Being a beautiful Sunday, light breeze, not a cloud in the sky, and the last day of summer, the spit and the river looked like "put in day" at the marina. Seemed like you could walk from boat to boat and not touch water.
Worked my way down the south bank toward Damon's and less boat traffic. Hit one schoolie, but threw the hook near the infamous Damon's spot. Nothing else.
Headed back when the yahoos started to leave, I mean stampede, the spit(it was like leaving Fenway in the 8th when the sox are down by 10....).
Can't be many more of these beautiful day's.
