Went south on Saturday afternoon. Snorkled in Weekapoug breachway for a few hours. Never saw so much life-too much to list. Highlites were watching snapper blues destroy silversides-what a sloughter! Also saw a black sea bass, first ever. Bait was so thick, at times it blocked the sun. Got a few tropicals including one I've never seen before At sunset went over to the lighthouse. Went first to the east cove infront of the sea wall. A blitz! A real old fashion Watchhill blitz with churning, foaming water and bait balls that looked solid. It was mostly stripers and albacore and the bait was small so plugs didn't work as well as I'd have liked but I got a bunch of good schoolies before it ended at dark. The whole time I had the fish to myself and I could see a bunch of guys walking right by who never noticed. After dark it slowed down to a steady pick in the white water. Fish were beter size, I got three or four in the 28-32 inch range. First time I've heard my drag since June! Also dropp
ed a big boy at the V. Had to walk away from steady action at midnight for the hell ride home. Did anybody fish the lighthouse Sunday morning? I bet it was hot. Chip, you gonna get out this fall? Email or call, we'll get together.
