Of course we're not going to tell you about the bad stuff!
Now that you are hopelessly committed to slingin' furballs, we can tell you the rest of the stuff we never told you.
1. The big fish will always hang just outside of your longest cast. This is constant, no matter how far you can cast.
2. The rest of the fish will always be deeper in the water column than you can get with your fly.
3. If you should happen to hook a fish, it will be when you're trying to untangle the mess of line that the wind just blew out of the stripping basket.
4. If you should happen to hook a really good fish, it will be when said line tangle is wrapped around the rod butt, both hands, one foot, and the aft cleat on the boat.
5. Oddly enough, none of the above will be able to deter you from spending thousands of dollars on fly gear ad tying materials!
