Phil: turning the light up to the clouds as a beacon - great idea - there is little more disconcerting moment than sitting somewhere; running and mastlite on, and eharing that doppler sound of a high powered boat closing at high speed as you wonder if they ever saw you!

Frank/George - the guy on the sailbot in waquoi was doing he right thing; picking up jetty/buoys and moving the light. The waders from the conclave were SOL because they were ar a tough spot in waquoit for boating. Agree w/ both of you - safe boating is more important than keeping the lights out.

All: if its a federal crime to illuminate a boat at night someone ought to send the fed's out to waquoit any summer saturday nite and arrest all the bozo's w/ too much horsepower and too much candlepower.
