Ed,
Thanks for the great information. I havn't read any of your
reports before. Did you just find reel-time. Just got a
computer?
I've fiddled around with shad bodies (6") in a similar way and did ok.
Mostly small fish and a lot of work.
I'm going to have to try the slug-o's as you described. I've tried
them but to be quite honest I havn't given them much of a chance.
It's the confidence thing. I will try something I havn't used before
but after 30 or 45min of trying (without a fish or hit) I will usually
change to something I know works. But when I think about it I will through
chunks for 3 or 4 hours without even considering to change to something
else. Even if I'm getting nothing. That's funny?
The lure I've been trying a lot lately is the 2oz. crippled herring.
It hasn't been producing for me. I know it catches fish I hear it all
the time on this BB. There's know substitute for learning by experience.
It helps to have a little guidance to get you started.
A BIG THANKS TO ALL THE CONTRIBUTORS TO REEL TIME.
A guy I work with just tried fire line. You would think he works
for the company. He's been preaching to me to try it. He loves it.
He said you should change the top guide if you use it because it will cut through
most guides.
I'm still holding my bucks. With a few more good reports about fireline
the bucks may roll.
