Larry, had a similar experience on 9/18 at mouth of eel pond. I'd caught two Stripers on a circle hook fly. The third fish felt hefty and actually took line. I pulled it into the dock and slid my hand down the leader to lip it. The brightest object was Jupiter. I had this creepy feeling. Turned on the flash light and felt nauseous when I saw a big Bluefish. The circle hook was in it's mouth corner. When I tried grabbing it's tail it rolled over and bit the mono leader. As of this moment I appreciate having all ten fingers. Too close. The next morning at Poppy caught another Blue but used the light. I'll never unhook a fish without a light again. Ted
