Take everything I say with a grain of salt, because my information isn't up-to-date. I've mostly been fishing offshore, and haven't been out at all for two weeks.
I haven't had great success at the number 6 bouy this year, although last year it was pretty good. I usually fish south and east of there.
Sankaty has been full of big bluefish all summer. I haven't been there for over a month, but I've heard that they're still there. Last fall I caught some really big bluefish along the southside around Miacomet and the airport.
I would guess that the Old Man is good for bass now, assuming it follows the pattern of previous years.
I'm fishing in a bluefish tournament out of Nantucket this weekend, so I'll probably be around Sankaty or the Southside. Assuming the weather's good, I'll be fishing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Look for a big red hulled sportfisher named "Mimi". I'm not sure which channel the tournament boats will be chattering on, but if you scan you should be able to figure it out. I'd be glad to give you an up-to-date report.
