An ancient Chinese proverb says that a smart man learns from his own mistakes,

but a wise man learns from the mistakes of others.

This web site provides excellent insight from other anglers on locations,

techniques, equipment etc...

For those just begining the journey use this site to your advantage.

Ask questions....practice...try anything.

Flyfishing is one of the most personally rewarding hobbies/lifestyles. Tying

your own flies, customizing your equipment, exploring tidewaters, shorelines,

are all part of the journey. Remember what you did when you hooked up...

what was the tide doing? Water clarity? How much light? Fly pattern/color?

Line type? Leader? Type of strip ?

Most of all preserve the resource. Don't use equipment so light it takes too

long to reel in a fish. Remove hooks quickly and cleanly.Release carefully.

Keep only what you intend to eat. Clean up after yourself.

Keep your boat clean running. Obey the regulations
