I'm considering replacing the treble hooks on some lures with single hooks.
Opinions are mixed. Some say big wooden plugs won't swim as designed. Others say mid-lure single hooks will lay flat making them ineffective.
On the positive side, I've been told that single tail hooks, particularily with bucktail or feathers, will increase the productivity of the lure. Does the color of the dressing make a difference ? Is there a particular hook that works mid-lure?
Anyone care to share an experience or a resource on the subject ?
