The searun browns enter the creek in the fall. They are quite silvery in color.

After a short period of time in the creek,they will take on normal brown trout coloration.

I've caught plenty of silvery colored browns in the spring. Probably fresh stocked fish that spent some time in the salt.

Based on the time of year and size of your brown, it was probably a newly stocked fish.
