I often do a variation of this with a hookless popper for both schoolies and bluefish. Its truly a blast to watch 3 or 4 bluefish smack a hookless popper before one of the blues finally gets it in its teeth and dives down with the hookless lure. I've ac
tually had blues "on" for 10 or 15 seconds before they spit the lure out.
