Jon, for anything under 25lb test I use a spider knot/twist.

Double your line to 30". make a small loop at the short end and hold it with your right thumb, index & middle fingers. Elongate or extend your three fingers to form a cone and then take the long loop end and start to wind it over your extended fingers thr
ee or four times. Bring the loop up thru the small loop held in your right hand and start to pull the windings off your fingers thru the small loop. Pull tight and nip off the excess tag end. Be sure to cut the loop to ensure equal tension when tying to l
eader(surgeons knot).

A lot easier than all the machinationes needed to tie a bimini & works just as well.
