Canal bait and tackle said nothing has showed in the canal yet, but that the Weweantic is hot.
I checked out the herring run at noon; it was crammed w/ herring in the bottom pool, and there were at least a few hundred milling around the outside.
Canal still has eiders and mergansers; saw & heard a few loons, and the evil yellow purple medusa-looking jelly fish were in evidence.
