Well, I've read this thread with interest and we all pretty much agree about the decreasing amount of public fishing access. Face it, we are not going to convince all the landowners to do an about face and become our fishing friends wishing us well with a
smile and a wave. The way to approach the problem is politically with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Pressure needs to be applied so that state access is created even if it means land acquisition by eminent domain for which the state will have to pay
dearly. I launch my boat with clients all over the Cape and am disgusted by the poor launches. Try Woods Hole at low tide. A backhoe, two dump trucks and two hours could fix that problem, of course there would still be no place to park. How about the fab
ulous lauch in Green Pond where your trailer drops off to China if you back in too far. These are fixed with a little money and concrete. Okay, okay, maybe we should be happy we just don't have to pay the landowners rent for the water directly in front of
the mansion. Sarcasm intended. Anyway, let's try to have a safe and productive fishing season without being arrested. Later...Capt. Ted.
