What time were you there? Usually you make it down there around sunset? We were there from about 4-5pm, I was staring at the herring more than fishing. It was pretty amazing at 4pm, there were thousands. Incidentally, that number was huge compared to t
he few dozen there at 11am this morning. They must have come in with the tide.
Reason I was asking about your time there tonight... as we were leaving the herring were going nuts at the mouth of the run. I could not figure out what was chasing them, it must have been the first of the seals you describe.
