John,

You will be very dismayed if you get the hard numbers on water quality in southeastern MA. Most of the ponds are in terrible shape for one reason or another. I could not believe how dirty the Weweantic looked today, plus all the DANGER NO SHELLFISHING s
igns... not good.

The chemicals that the bog owners use, especially the herbicides can cause genetic defects in species that come in contact with it, not to mention that it kills off needed plant life.
