Since I moved and am now from 'away'...
Try the marshes and flats of Wells harbor on a rising tide later in the year,
look for a vast area of flats W of the channel called the 'airport'. Also,
the Kennebunk river, just upstream of the 'Port is good for a drift boat. Jim
Dionne of Northeast Anglers used to use one there. Anywhere for the golf course
down is good, esp. the narrows just above the Port. I used to do well drifting
a couple hundred yards off Gooch's beach on the S.side casting mackerel
patterns and any small silver fly. Finally, on the lower Kennebunk, drift down
past the Yachtsman and KPort Marina and Chick's and cast right up tight to the
bank at the Monastary. This fishes best on a rising tide.
