I've only been fly fishing the Whole pisqataqua for one year now. I'm with the
post before me on quite a few big fish coming out from around the ledges and
Whaleback light area at the mouth of the river from what I have heard from other
Fly fishermen. As far as for me, I have picked up one keeper size fish
at the NW end of badgers island and a handfull of fish that were in the high 20s.
Have also gotten a few good ones on the East side of the Isles of Shoals fishing
in the surf with BIG flys.
Have caught GOBS of schoolies in the little bay and Furber straight area with a few
blues mixed in. The little bay area is the place to go to ALWAYS pick up at least a half
dozen schoolies. Also lots of schoolies in the Back cahnnel area of Portsmouth/New Castle.
Plan on gettin the boat in the water around 5/9 or so, ALways looking for people to fish
with to have fun/learn from, drop me a mail if your interested.
