I have fly fished the mouth for years and had success drifting around almost anywhere I can get my fly down to the fish, however, I have heard stories of casting to keepers on the flats and in the Plum Island river. I have a small bass style boat I use a
nd would love some tips on how to avoid the traffic of the mouth and head off into the shallow water for some fly fishing in a little less comotion.
I would even be interested in possibly hiring a guide for a day who has specializes in fly fishing in this area.
