Its no joke; it starts in New Bedford at the steamship dock; runs under Buzzards bay, under West Falmouth and surfaces in the Mass Military Reservation in Bourne.
A second tunnel is now being planned from South Falmouth to Vineyard Haven.
Completion date is 2005 on the first.
