Those of us who know browsers know they save state about each and every place they visit so they can color new links blue and already visited links purple.
The way the BBS is reset each month, zapping /bbs/bbs5 and starting again from index#1 negates the browser nicety and makes it hard to pick up what is new and what has already been read w/.out pawing thru alreayd been read msg's.
If your going to be doing the month by month reset much longer it might make sense to create new bbs's, ie Sept is /bbs/bbs11, Oct is /bbs/bbs12 and fix the link on the home page each month.
This approach will force us to reload our bookmark each monbth but will allow us to get a bit more from our browser's usability features.
