If you can give me more information like where in Maine you are headed, I'll try
to help. Fish right now are everywhere, but if you plan to fish from shore the
breakwater areas and rocks are fishing best.
Trout fishing - The Connecticut River in in Pittsburgh, NH is cold water damn release and is fishing
well for trout and some salmon right now. You will have need to drive quite a
ways into Maine to get good trout or salmon fishing in mid August.
