Just returned from a solid weekend of fishing in Maine. Started at 3:00am Saturday
morning with several large stripers at Parsons just before sunup than nothing, zero
from 4:00am on. Several othere fly fishing and bait fishing also got zilch.
Fished Two lights later in the day without a touch. No waves, bright sun, wind at your bak
and no fish.
Fished MacWorth Island at low tide and got several fish, and saw several working. Stopped
paying attention to where I was walking and got caught in mud up to my ba....s.
I wouldn't mind except it's the second time it's happened to me this year. I fell
into quick mud up to my waist when Fishing the Firehole in Wyoming earlier this year.
Anyway I got out without having to remove my waders and called it a day.
Fished Two Lights next morning and Biddeford Pool without a touch. Saw no one else take a fish.
Fished the Mousam just before the thunder storms hit around 4:30pm and it was non-stop
for about an hour in the rain, than nothing for the next two hours.
Even in Maine the water has warmed and the best fishing is at night.
Blues are in and chasing mackeral, but quite a ways offshore.
