I typically spend an hour after dark each weekend thrashing the flats in front of my house at Green Pond to no avail. I've tossed the kitchen sink at them also, and h had a few strikes on poppers on clam evenings, a few pickups on variety of bucktails (eyeless clousers, ray's Fly's, sand eels, etc.) but can't seem to buy a fish even when they are popping all around me.
I've seen those sanddollar sized crabs in my minnow trap and wondered whether they are useful or not. So...how would you put a hook through one of those crabs :-)?
